Special Applications

Anti-Condensation Heaters

Anti-Condensation Heaters image

TEC Anti Condensation Heaters are necessary in order to prevent failure or corrosion to electric motors by water condensing inside the enclosure. This usually happens in cooler temperatures or higher humidity areas. Often this damage occurs only when the electric motor is turned off and the enclosure temperature drops rapidly to below the dew point. Typical applications for anti condensation heaters include shipboard and marine equipment, dockside cranes, well pumps, and all electric motors operating in a tropical environment.

Specifying TEC Anti Condensation Heaters at the design stage can save the expense of costly rewinds and down time!

Supply Voltage

Various supply voltages are also catered for including 110-250V AC/DC and 230V 50/60Hz.

Control

To ensure optimum temperature control the heaters must be controlled by a thermostat or humidistat, both of these items are also available as option accessories.

The thermostats are available with temperature setting from 0-60C, while the humidistat has a setting range of 35-95%RH (relative humidity).
